Option 110 enables you to measure signals previously buried below the noise floor with an RF/µW internal preamplifier. The preamplifier gain of 27 dB (nominal) and its calibrated frequency response allow the user to accurately measure signals down to -165 dBm and below.
The range of operation extends from 10 MHz to 50 GHz, or the upper frequency of the PSA model used. Additionally, the preamplifier is frequency-calibrated over this entire range, enabling accurate measurement with unmatched sensitivity.
Noise figure measurements, using the PSA Noise Figure Measurement Personality (Option 219), are also possible to 50 GHz, using the internal preamplifier.
